Thanks for looking MINOR COSMETIC REPAIR TO THE SLEEVE (SEE PIC) This is the classic Mc Orvis Field Jacket in superb condition (now called the Orvis/Barbour Beaufort). I have been very fortunate to acquire 42 of these from a riding school in Germany (made in Britain with German labels). This particular model has now been absorbed into the Orvis/Barbour collaboration and is called - Please visit the Orvis site for a full history of the collaboration. These are, by some distance, the best quality out-doorsman's jackets on the market. If you're using it for general day to day townie use it'll last longer than you will...

For farmers/sportsmen probably just fifty years or so (although Orvis suggest they can be passed down several generations - look after the jacket and it will look after you)! Please note that photo #1 is a stock image - the rest are of an example of what you will recieve all are I the same excellent condition but the shade of blue may vary very slightly.. But still a dark navy. Details This all-purpose Mc Orvis waxed-cotton jacket has a broken-in, shine-free Sylkoil finish for the ultimate in classic weather resistance.

It features two front bellows pockets with snap storm flaps and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets. It's lined full length with cotton tartan. The corduroy collar is studded for an optional hood. Snap-closed throat flap and storm-fly front provide additional protection. Raglan sleeves with underarm ventilation, storm cuffs, and brass-finish two-way metal zip.

Specially treated 100% cotton shell. All-purpose waxed-cotton jacket Weather-resistant Size M. Armpit to armpit measurement is 26 inches and according to the official Orvis size guide it's a 42. But these jackets are BIG so this is suitable for up to 48 inch chest still leaving 4 inches of breathing space. Please compare with your own jackets to ensure it's a good fit. Even though these are serious stockman jackets (I bought them from a riding school and they were occasionally used by student riders) - they've hardly ever been worn! Wilst they're not brand new they're not far off. There was a tiny hole in the right sleeve which has been repaired (see pic).

There is no loose stitching, no worn patches and the closures and pockets function as new. We sell a lot of jackets and I'd give these an 8/10.
